Friday Adventure

WE didn't have anything do on a Friday afternoon. So why not cruise down to Corona Del Mar right? Its March 4th, and oddly warm outside. While most college kids in the United States are home at this time bundled in their "snuggies" or studying indoors, we're enjoying the sunshine with an ocean front view. Only in So Cal. Like children playing during recess we hopped from rock to rock hoping to find something that would catch our eye trying to keep ourselves entertained.

FROM the time we left until the time we hit the sand our conversations were anything but dull. Talking about Coachella, girls, food, money, jobs, latest gossip, girls, food, sports, food, and girls. Probably in that order. Yet time seemed to stand still when we came here. This tide-pool that held so much life within. Fish and plants and all other types of odd things God has so creatively designed. So peaceful and quaint. So pure and elegant. So beautiful and unique. (At least to us). Calmly we all made eye contact, sighed, and all agreed with the same word; "daayyyyum". As cliche as it seems and sounds, the beauty of the ocean and the sun setting is so majestic and peaceful. To some the setting sun is the end but to me it signifies the beginning. Knowing that this same exact ball of gas, that star, our life source, our sun, will raise again. A sign of hope. A sign of confidence.

Thursday Night Grub

THE beauty of living on the West Coast (let alone The United States) is its mesh of so many different races and cultures. Last night me and a couple hoimes were sstaaaarrving and didn't know what to grub on. We thought about going to get some wings, maybe pizza, maybe some italian sub sandwiches...but neither of them sounded appealing. (On a side note, my friends and I enjoy eating like kings. I guess its a hobby? I'm not to sure, but finding a legit spot to grub is the highlight of most our nights. Don't judge). After about an hour we decided on all you can eat KBBQ. Aka, Korean Bar B Que for all you new comers. After all, what's better than ALL you can eat, right? About an hour and a half later our tummy's were full, our smiles were big, our buttons didn't fully close, and our clothes smelled like a mixture between grease and burned meat. But it was so worth it.

Maybe tomorrow we'll hit up Pinks or maybe Astros maybe Tommy's.  Whatever the choice i know me, my homies, and my tummy will all be happy. Im not sure about my wallet though...

Humble Art

ALL of these poster graffiti artist in LA have one thing in common. A certain humility about them. The art work is odd and abstract yet attractive in an urban feel kind of way. You cant help but stare. They don't put a street name which they go by or a gang they promote. Not a phone number or even a calling card. In the depth of night or even the mid of day, these "law breakers" get up and post. Spreading their art work and love throughout the streets Los Angeles. True, it may against the law but so is not wearing your seat belt. But we do it anyways because some times it feels good not bound to your seat. We have the freedom and movement to do things we may have not been able to do while buckled down. These men (or women) do this for thrill and enjoyment. To see their hard work fill the streets of LA with people starring in awe or maybe even in shock. Yet they don't have a famous name nor credibility for this work. They do this simply for the enjoyment.  Simply for the love.

I dedicate this post to all those who do what they love. Going against mainstream society of what is believed to be "right" but rather following their heart and waking up everyday happy and content.
